My first Mother’s Day with two kiddos was a fun one. 🙂
Aaron and I woke up and had breakfast and coffee together while Honor played and Jesse sat in his swing for a little while. We decided to skip going to church because Honor is (finally) potty training really well and I didn’t want her to regress by having an accident at church, or get nervous if she had to go in the nursery without me there. I thought one more good solid week of no diapers would do her good before trying to hold it at church! But YAY for potty training!! She has gone a whole week with only three accidents. I am so proud. 🙂 That alone was a wonderful Mother’s Day gift! haha
After we all had eaten breakfast we decided to go for a walk. It was a little cool, and we got rained on a bit towards the end, but it was refreshing and felt great! I love going for a walk as a family. There is just something about it that lifts my spirits and makes me feel ready to conquer the day! On the way back home from our walk we stopped at the bridge so that Honor could throw stones in the water. (one of her favorite pastimes) She loves to help search for the stones and then listening to them go “KA-PLUNK!”
I also used it as a good bribing mechanism to get her to take some pictures with us as well 😉
And here is a segment of real life…. trying to show off my amazing exercise and stretching skills…. 🙂
I know, I’m pretty awesome…. you’re welcome… 😛 😉
After our walk we packed up and got ready to go out to my parent’s house for the day. We had good ol’ pizza and wings for lunch, and afterwards Honor made chocolate chip cookies with Grammy!
She has WAY more fun eating the dough than actually making it of course. 😉 I mean…. that’s the best part right??
And because I feel like a horrible mommy for not getting any pictures with my little Jesse yesterday, here is an adorable picture of him for you to feast your eyes on. 🙂
hehe… way too cute.. I got his outfit on Amazon Here. LOVE it! The stripes are navy though, not black… don’t be fooled! haha
Over all I’d say it was a very Happy Mother’s Day! 🙂 I am just so thankful for my two amazing little kiddos that have blessed me with the title of “Mommy”.. I just hope that I can be even half of the mother to them that my wonderful Mom has been for me. Love you Mom. <3
Happy Mother’s Day to all of the amazing Mommy’s out there. Don’t forget that you are a super hero.. On the incredibly fun days AND even on the crazy hard days when you want to just sit on the floor and rock back in forth in a corner somewhere….. You’re still a super hero. 🙂
I hope you all enjoyed your day too! What did you do to celebrate?
