In June of 2016 we found out that our beautiful little girl was going to be a big sister!! 🙂 So we decided to do a family photot/maternity shoot in the fall.
Honor was pretty excited to be a big sister.. most of the time. 😛 …There were times that I would ask her if she was excited and she’d flat out say no. But most of the time she would say she was and she would say things like, “I’m going to help read to baby Jesse!” or “I’m going to help pick baby Jesse up!” Which of course I told her that mommy needed to be there to help with that one. 😉
Honor was not too thrilled about taking family photos, we were trying so hard to get her to enjoy it, but she just wanted to play in the woods!
So we let her… 🙂
While Honor played, Aaron and I did a few together! Aaron had to show off his belly too. haha!
This was one of my favorites <3
Isn’t this one just cute to boot! 😛 I know… I’m a dork.
Honor’s feet were supposed to be in between ours, but she wasn’t cooperating (seemed to be the on going trend of the day) so I contained her feet between mine. It actually turned out really sweet. 🙂
This was my favorite one from the day! Honor wouldn’t smile, but at least she was looking and not moving!
It was really special to have these done. Not only is fall my absolute favorite time of the year, but it was also our last time getting family photos done as a family of three… which was exciting, but also kind of a bitter sweet moment. There are lots of those before your second child comes. Very strange emotions. One moment you cannot wait to have the little nugget here, and the next you’re crying because you’re snuggling with your first born on the couch and you suddenly realize you won’t have quite as many moments like that with them once there is a second one to share your time with.
But guess what? Everyone does adjust to it, and very quickly you cannot imagine your life any different, and the new family of four just feels so right… and Yes, there is more than enough love to go around for the both of them.
So if you’re in this position, try not to worry, because life doesn’t just go on, it gets even better. <3
How do you feel about going from a family of three to a family of four? Did you have those bitter sweet moments as well?
